In celebration of Fire Prevention Week, Medallion Group Insurance has partnered with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council to donate ten Fire Prevention Week kits across the province.
With only ten kits available and over 100 applications submitted, we were inspired to do more. We reached out to our insurance partner, Gore Mutual Insurance, who also wanted to support this initiative. They generously donated an additional $2,500 to the Safety Council through their Brokers for Good Program.
Sarah Heiser (Director of Group Partnerships) and Shawnna Fournier (Community Partnerships Coordinator) travelled to the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council Distribution Centre in Brockville, where they had a quick visit and picked up the kits. So far they’ve made deliveries to Middlesex Centre, Wilmot Fire, Niagara Fire, and Oakville Fire with a few more still to go.
Our hope is that these kits can be used to promote fire safety and share lifesaving messages with people of all ages across the province.
