The 2026 Medallion May $6K Community Giveaway Has Come to a Close
Every year, we’re reminded that First Responders don’t stop giving back when the sirens stop. Through volunteer work, fundraising, mental health initiatives, community programs and charitable organizations, they continue making a meaningful impact long after their shifts end.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a deserving individual or organization. Your stories help us celebrate the incredible people behind the badge.

Since launching in 2021, we’ve invested over $34,000 in projects, equipment, outreach initiatives and community programs nominated by Ontario’s First Responders.

Who can apply:
Fire Departments, Law Enforcement Organizations, EMS Services, Emergency Medical, Search & Rescue Operations, Emergency Managers, Conservation Officers, Correctional Services, First Responder Organizations & Associations including volunteer, veteran and retiree groups.
How to apply:
1. Simply complete the application form found below
2. Tell us your story. Photographs, images and attachments are always helpful for the selection committee and can be uploaded in your application form

Giveaway guidelines
- The May $6K Community Giveaway is open to all First Responders who live in Ontario (including sworn, civilian, active, retired, career and volunteer)
- Only one submission per person or project will be accepted
- No purchase necessary
- You do not need to be a Member of Medallion Group Insurance to enter
- Funding recipients will be chosen by an internal selection committee and announced following the June 10th application deadline
- Multiple funding levels are available, to a maximum total of $6,000
